This page is dedicated to the children of So High Goats. Here is where
we will spotlight the accomplishments of our youthful members, 19 years of age
or younger. Many of them participate in 4-H, FFA, or school activities that allow
to help "promote the goat" and we want you to know what they are doing!

 
 

January 2008

William Roper  - Presented to the So High Goats Club about How to Select a Show Goat on January 11.

Katherine Kirby - Presented to the So High Goats Club about Showmanship on January 11.

Clay Wilkie  - Presented to the So High Goats Club about Preventing Urinary Calculi on January 11.
Anneke Carr won 1st place in Showmanship; 2nd Place in a breeding doe class; and 5th place in a breeding doe class at the Citrus Festival in Winterhaven, Florida on January 27.  
Caleb Carr won 2nd place in Showmanship; and 3rd Place in a breeding doe class at the Citrus Festival in Winterhaven, Florida on January 27.  
Brooke Carr won 5th place in a breeding doe class at the Citrus Festival in Winterhaven, Florida on January 27.  

February 2008

Addie Evans won 1st place in Showmanship; Overall Grand Champion Buck; Grand Champion Jr. Buck; Reserve Champion Sr. Doe; 1st place 0-3 percentage does; 1st place 0-3 month bucks; 1st place 6-9 month bucks; 4th place 6-9 month does; 4th place 9-12 month does; 7th place 9-12 month does; 2nd place Sr. Commercial Does; 2nd Place in Jr. Scrapbook contest; 2nd place Costume Contest; and 2nd place Educational Display on February 1st at the Augtauga Agribiton in Autaugaville, Alabama


State 4-H/FFA Record Book Competition

These young people were recognized at the State 4-H/FFA Banquet in Perry, GA on February 23 for their efforts Market Meat Goat Project for 2007

Alice Kirby - 1st Place in K-2 grade

Addie Evans - 2nd Place in K-2 grade

Emily Hostetler - 4th place in 5-8 grade

Katherine Kirby - 3rd Place in 5-8 grade

 


4-H District Project Achievement

Katherine Kirby, of Jasper, Georgia, placed 2nd in the Sheep and Meat Goats project at the 4-H District Project Achievement competition held at Rock Eagle.

These junior members were recognized at the March 14 meeting of So High Goats for their participation in activities that "Promote the Goat" during January and February 2008. See Kids page for details.

Mr. Veal was the guest speaker at the March Meeting.

 

SEPTEMBER 2008
